    Default Pet Names

Does anyone else find being called "pet", "love", "doll", "son" etc by perfect strangers really, really irritating.
I had to ring a company today for a quote and spoke to a woman who I've never met.
Got called pet about 20 times during a five minute conversation.
It would actually put me off buying from her.
There is nothing worse for the lying soul than the mirror of reality

Depends on the person calling me it, if its a she then I will normally forgive them lots of things, if its a young attractive she who is also into touchy feely contact then it definitely doesn't bother me. If its on the end of the phone and its a north of England she then thats ok, its just a figure of speech, we have the same in other languages so its quite common.

the younger you are the more it annoys you. remember when you use to go to the corner shop for sweets as kids? well thats where it started..so when you hear it now your brain hears 'kid!' and then you stamp your feet and well up with anger ...again all in your head. there will be a time when it starts to feel nice again.

its a bit like parents really. first you love them, then you hate them, then you love them again!

From total strangers - I hate it! If it's someone I know well - it's fine.
