damn just forgot what i had intended to write - short term memory gone thanks to waay to much cannabis in my late teens and early twenties - and I do mean a lot, but have not gone near it now for about ten years, still get an urge whenever I see or hear of my mates smoking it.

personally I don't think it should be legalised and only for one reason and one reason only

walk around the pubs and clubs on a weekend and have a look and see how many underage kids are in them drinking and how many kids are walking outta shops and off licences with drink and then tell me that this country will be able to regulate the sale of a narcotic

    not gonna happen

if they were able to regulate it for sale to over 21's only then yea sure but if not then no

I think if it can be of use medically then fine, get it on prescription, but as for general use I would not be in favour but if people use it the right way then thats fine too. Would be very hard to regulate though so I can't see it happening.

We've had a thread very similar to this before. All drugs should be legal because the only way to win the war on drugs is to do just that. What do you want from a drugs policy? No old ladies mugged for their pension, no gangs making huge sums of money from selling drugs, no more gangland killings and no more drug overdoses. All those are caused by drugs being illegal. Drug use is a medical problem not a legal one.

Also there's a train of thought that says, if drugs had been legal the strains of grass that have been genetically modified as they were to produce super strong dope would not have happened. Same with crack not invented if coke had been legal.

Ken Clark U.K. justice minister has recently told a houses of Parliament committee that they are losing the war on drugs. Stop spending so much money on prevention and spend it on education and health care. Junkies can lead a normal life with proper access to gear, it's all the other shit that messes up their lives. People will use drugs whether they are legal or not, same with escorts.

Just my thought on drugs, by the by, I'm not a user so don't have a vested interest.

I will disagree with this statement. Drug companies are always tweeking and improving their products, so why wouldn't there be the same kind of interest in improving cannabis? And as to cocaine and crack, crack last time I checked is simply cocaine cooked down and the impurities removed. People were doing this long before the crack epidemic. It was called free-basting. Ask Richard Pryor.
