Apologies to anyone who is suffering as a result of this fuckwittery - it's bloody unfair - but I take a particularly twisted delight in the Ulster Bank's misfortune... mainly because my ex-missus works for them, and I hope she faces the wrath of many an irate customer.

Hopefully the bastards get everyone reimbursed, and woo-hoo, let's all rejoice knowing the Chief Fuckwit won't be taking his bonus this year.

Does anyone know if this Ulster Bank bollocks is messing with other accounts?

For example, I have a direct debit that was due out of my account at the start of the month, but it still hasn't come out(not that I'm complaining )

I'm not sure if the person/company I owe the money to is with Ulster Bank. Has anyone else experienced something similar, or can shed some light on this? I'm not with Ulster Bank, thankfully

    Cheers in advance!
I would say that probably explains it. probably hold on to it for the mo, dont go spending it on escorts till the debit comes back! - good look with that though - basically best say something stupid in a thread and get banned from here or just rip your phone socket out the wall and only leave the house blindfolded

Isn't switching banks and running around like headless chickens panicing all a bit for nothing? I mean all banks are heavily computerized these days and while yes Ulster Bank seemed to be caught on the hop and have been very inefficient in handling the situation, this can in theory happen at any bank. I'm not defending Ulster Bank just putting the thought out that at the end of the day any computer system can go wrong.
