Sorry to dent your hopes buddy but the only action you are likely to see in that town is if a sheep wanders into the middle of it ( this will more than likely happen in your stay there as it is in connemara!) the town is 80km from galway with very little between them.

Not at all,plenty of good fun to be had in Clifden its not that far from civilisation,great pubs and clubs.
