I had one of those funny type of dreams last night; one of those momentous Martin Luther King type dreams; and guess what, I actually met the King. No, not MLK, the other King.....Elvis Presley. We talked for a while...... he spoke of music, R&R, R&B, soul, country. He also talked about booze, drugs, gun contol and the state of his grave.

But before I came out of this dream, Elvis stopped talking and he paused for some considerable time to gather his thoughts together.When he spoke again, he seemed more alive and lucid then at any point in the dream. And what he said to me in his deep southern drawl was the following (verbatim):

"Uh Carlos, I wanna thank you for vistin me in yore dream man. It's kinna nice to see that after 30 years folks still appreciate me and my kinna music. I'm just so glad to be in peoples hearts, and minds and dreams ..... it kinna keeps me alive ya know. And eh, Carlos man, before you wake up, there are uh 2 messages that I,d be obliged if you kud pass on to the nice folk at E-I. Tell em all Carlos....................tell em that ...................
