    Default Raids....

I get home in the wee hours, check the news online and read that "PSNI and Gardai raid 140 brothels."

So quick as I can I hop over here and - there's nothing! Everythings normal, (as it gets around here.) Not a single post. no huge drop in advertisements. Zilch!

    Did it not happen?

Or is there a whole other sub-culture out there completely aside from this little community?

    Here's one of many articles;

Only 140 raids to arrest 3 people?

    WOW!!

Talk about optimising the use of resources!!!

I don't think I want to know what would induce anyone to buy or sell sex in a manner that requires "dawn raids".

I thought Ruhama were very quiet yesterday...now they will spend the day partying, celebrating the hardship of all the women who have lost their livelihood because of those raids...after all, isn't that what the nasty, spoiled, liittle bitches desperately want to do to us all?

Raids did happen yesterday in several places around the country. As you saw very little came of it. Hence nothing to report. Business as usual boys and girls

Reading more, I see that, 370 Officers were deployed in 140 raids, both sides of the border. As a result three people have been arrested here, 5 in the north and "three suspected victims of trafficking" have been "rescued" in the north.

So I guess that figure or 97%, as the proportion of sex workers who are trafficked and/or coerced, that gets thrown around with such conviction must have been the tiniest, smidgeon overestimated?

48 officers per arrest, pretty good figures, LOL. i suspect that phone numbers may be of interest as well as proceeds from the industry. Will be interesting to see what comes next. I notice in one report that members of organisations that assist women trafficked were involved, good to know!!!

    more here ref Northern Ireland

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-northern-ireland-18258312

The bedroom picture is not familar to me but I have a vague feeling about the apartment complex more geo google mapping research is needed

Is this really a rescue of trafficking victims?

There was a posting by Sophie (France last night) about a raid but it seems to have been deleted

Theres no doubt massive resources are being thrown at this but in the end I think like a lot of crime initiatives budgetary constraints will kick in

There is much much more serious crime being committed out there that warrants attention, not withstanding the plight of trafficked victims but I have never encountered one single such victim

    3 victims rescued - that's a good result.

It was also reported that they were targeting the people behind this business and not the girls themselves.
