The gardai "visited" 22 properties in Carlow town. One of which is next door to my mothers and owned by a solicitor .
Was chatting to him tonight and he told me what the gardai told him , pretty much that this was an island wide clamp down to discourage the sex trade !!!
To make matters worse for the gardai ,they mistook his address for a similar address on the other side of the town. So he was not their target at all.
Well not much publicity as u all said but if 1 trfficked girl got out sounds good to me!

James while I agree largely with the tenor of your point you are falling into the same trap that most others are. The paranoia or whatever you want to call it does not involve illegality or committing a crime, if what apples says is true then it bears out my earlier points - the info gathered will be used a leverage. Anyone involved in this industry, provider or client is more prone to leverage as the opprobrium of society is a very big stick and I contend no police force is going to overlook such a big stick.
Off the top of my head i can think of about a dozen or so places used at one time or another . The solicitor saw the list and was pretty sure of what he was saying .
Thats not to say that all the places were doing anything wrong in fairness, just they were under suspicion
