Hey so here's the deal, I'm an 18 year old guy about to start college, and I'm still a virgin. In fact I've barely even kissed a girl.

It's not that I'm a social outcast or unattractive, just that I am completely and utterly afraid to be physical with a girl I like. No matter how confident I am or how much a girl is into me, I can never go in for a kiss. It is simply an unknown realm to me. I am far too self-conscious about how sloppy and inexperienced I will seem.

Trust me when I say that I have been stuck in this rut for ever and don't see myself getting out- no matter how drunk I am.

All my mates have popped their cherries, and while I don't buy into the whole macho rite of passage crap that surrounds losing your virginity, I'd be lying if I said it didn't bother me ( the fact I'm horny as fuck 24/7 doesn't help lol).

But before anyone starts to get the wrong idea I am not looking to lose my virginity just so I can tick it off my to do list. Instead I really think that it might have long term effects by making me more confident around girls I like- I will find it easier to be physically intimate with them having had the whole ‘sex thing’ demystified.

In my mind this could be greatly beneficial for my self esteem. I view this as a stepping stone that will help me later on. Personally the whole doing it with a special person thing isn't an issue. I consider this as practice for that "right person" who may or may not come by in in the next 100 years, or may even come by 100 times.
