In the real world there are defenses that men and women put up to protect themselves, it can make some people seem rude, unapproachable or downright bitchy.

You just need to try something to take the defenses down for a few seconds and you may get to know the real person.

Do something nice, like help with bags, open doors, say something funny etc, you never know where it might lead

Men and women are both a bit crazy, but men usually arent around other men, cant speak for the women though
You wont know, until you try!

We're just as bad as the rest of them, but you are paying not to hear it lol. Read the book 'Men are from Mars & Women from Venus', it's quite eye opening.

You cannot understand women. Men are not equipped to do that.

Alcoholics have an expression to describe fleeting instants in time when they understand their plight. They call these "moments of clarity". When it comes to understanding women, that is all that a man can hope for. Recognise them, remember them, cherish them. That is all that you will ever have.

Why Men Don't Listen and Women can't Read Maps
Its a good read and a great insight into the opposite sex, explains everything and not as heavy as the Venus and Mars book.
This book should be mandatory reading before marriage.

A conversion with my ex-girlfriend on the bus:

Me:...so i can't see you tomorrow night i have to get up early.
Her: oh sure just tell me to go away just like that
Me: well you can stay over if you like but i'm going to sleep early.
Her: what difference does it make, last time you fell asleep at my house and we didn't even cuddle
Me: you were staying up to do an assignment and i was really tired from work, i couldn't stay awake until you finished to cuddle in bed.
Her: but when i came over to you to cuddle you said you didn't want to cuddle
    Me: I never said that.
Her: okay, you didn't say that but you still didn't want to cuddle. What's the point in staying with you at all, i'm going straight home.
Me: Listen, sometimes i'm exhausted, you can't always expect me to stay awake to cuddle.
Her: starts crying and leaning her head against the bus window it's like you don't even care about me, why are we even together...
Me: listen, i'm getting tired of this ffs, now your just being difficult!
Her: Is it too much to ask for?
....and the conversion pretty much goes around in circles ending in make-up sex the next day. A couple of months later she broke up with me because i didn't spend enough time with her.

The one thing I learnt from the arguments and the relationship was when women complain about something petty, i.e. a cuddle, there usually is an underlying serious issue, i.e. me not spending enough time with her. Women speak a different language to men and communicate very differently; they have things like intuition so they pick-up on things that we don't.

Now having said that, i think we generally understimate the complexity of men; often painted as dogs who think with their dick. I believe that men are just as sensative as women but as soon as we express our deeper emotions to women, our emotions are often trivialised, particularly anger and so we close off again. And i have had women attack me using my deepest fears against me that i shared with them during intimate conversations; that's disgusting and disgraceful.

men and women are equally complicated, albeit in very different ways...
