I don't know if any of you guys were listening to Ryan turbiddy on the radio this morning. Basically he got a email from a father who was seemingly trying to justify beating his child as a means of punishment.
The email basically read that his 13 year old son was asked by his grandmother to clean up the table free him. He refused. He was asked again and proceeded to use profanities to his grandmother. Disgusting language according to the father.
The father then proceeded to catch the child by the arm, dragged him in to the other room, removed his belt and hit the child 10 times on the bare ass over the next 2.5 mins.
The father said when it was over all involved were crying an his son hugged him(really??).
The guy was obviously well educated by the way his email read. He said his father used to hit him as punishment too and he thinks he turned out ok.
Basically I got to hear the email but had to go to work so didn't hear the feedback from the listeners.
I am just wondering what the attitude here well be.
Personally I am not a father so not really an authority but I do think it's appalling.
Thoughts please?
