I wonder where "inseminated by the toilet seat" actually ranks?
Always check for lipstick or makeup transfer before you leave the apartment

If that is the main cause then the turkey baster must be a close second. We really do have some brilliant minds in our government!

Whilst I did not listen to the aural piece , I presume the case this lady is making is that these sort of pregnancies are mainly caused by two people consenting and in the full knowledge of what the consequences of their actions are yet they go ahead anyway. This is opposed to where the unwanted pregnancy arises out of rape, absue, and other actions where the consent of one or more of the parties may be compromised.

I'm not sure that she is saying that exactly. They have used a 14 year old girl as the example of someone who was denied having an abortion. She is then looking at people that she describes as 'weak', but what is not being discussed is the fact that contraception has been villified for all these years and the solution is in making sure that everyone who is sexually active and not wanting to bring life into this world is using it and not relying on their partner to be the one using it (ie both using it). Why go straight to the cure and not the solution?

If only they could get the pope to kiss and condom and say it was a gift from God and then you might get less unwanted children and needless abortions.

Apologies to anyone who is religious and thinks that is blasphemous, but to me it is all didactic rubbish, but they do have the power to make people listen and I wish they would use it for good for a change.

    i am 100% pro choice

its the woman body, she should not be forced by anyone, to carry an unwanted child.

abortion is not ideal nor do i see it as a form of contraceptive, but what life do a bring an unwanted child into?

u only need to look at some of our disadvatages areas, i have seen children sitting in flithy nappies while there 17 year old mother looks confused and just not intreasted,

the worlds population is already too big, and in my eyes its a group of cells till at least after week 12,

plus cases of rape incest and abuse go without saying,

there should be consulling provided before and after and non judgemental serivces so a girl makes the right decision for her and not for society!
and as kate said, ireland is rather new to contraceptives hard to believe im saying that in 1st world country in 2012 but we are

this shit of just saying wait till ur married dnt work, they are going to do it, ffs i was at it at 16!

provide condoms in schools, and contraceptive classes to girls regarding the pill etc we need to get real like a baby is not the worst thing u can catch and there no morning after pill for HIV

sex needs to not be taboo and dirty, but seen for wat it is, a wonderful experience between two consenting adults
and ur choices before in the line of contraceptive shud be of the up most importance!

accidents happen but prevention is the key! and until our small minded goverment realises that we aint going anywhere are we?
