    Question CapeTown it is....

Good morning all. Hope the sun is shining wherever you may be..

This chick is off to Capetown in August..
It's all volunteer work working in community groups. I'm going to fundraise my Costs but I'm totally stuck for ideas!

any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

6000 to raise from now till then...

I better get the finger out so.

    Thanks all. Xxxxxxxx

Good on you Aoife - a great cause. Some suggestions (not very original but they work)-

Table Quiz, Race Night, Sponsorship for 10k run (loads of these organised nationwide), Bag packing and/or car washing at a supermarket, BBQ/coffee morning for friends and family.

You can also do fundraisers such as mowing lawns, tidying gardens, tidying housing estates etc. (hard work and not as lucrative).

If you or a family member or friend is associated with a sports club, make use of this contact as they often have facilities and events that you can avail of... Also, don't be shy about contacting celebrities/sports stars for signed jerseys etc - they always do well at raffles.

Above all, try to make the events as much fun for you and those involved in raising the funds.

    Good luck!!!

    Pretty much this!

The only thing I'll say is if you want to get into bag packing in a supermarket you really have to get in there now, the likes of Tesco only have a handful of days throughout the year dedicated to charities you can't just wander in and setup shop.

Well, I have never intentionally booked an escort or an ex-escort for a purely social meeting but I'll make an exception here. If you can convince LaBelleThatcher to have lunch with me, I'll pay for it ( of course ) and I'll give you a 100 euros for your charity !!!
