Every job has weirdos. These threads can be very funny, you just change the title and you've someone else's job title. Heard a story lately of a girl walking into her doctors telling him what was wrong with her and that she just needed to collect a prescrition - she had looked it up on the internet. As it happened she had to be hospitalised that day!
Some people just don't know when they are well off. Depending on a persons perspective, some will look down on you, but they'll look down on most people and everyone charges too much for everything - even the guy fixing the lawnmower is a robbing sod - but they can't fix the lawnmower themselves.
Either choose to ignore the idiots - coz there are tons of them out-there. Cherish your clients who you build a rapport with and that helps make it easier.

If i hire a painter etc, i tell that person what i want done also how much i will pay, also if it is not carrier out correctly i tell that person to stop and do it this the way that i want it done, so in my opinion when i am paying out my hard earned cash i tell the person who is carrying out a requirement for me what to do in all cases, (I am sure it is pretty much the same for everyone esle), if that person does not want to carry out what i am looking for well thats there choice and i would be happy to go somewhere esle to fill my requirement,

I believe this applies to every profession that provides a service.
One example among many:
food critics who for the most part have never worked in the trade and know absolutly nothing about the business.Yet,they come into a place,expect special treatment and take it as their sacred duty to make or destroy it for the so called benefit of the customer.

The general public seems to think it is ok to do so and actually follows their advice.

There's no one answer to this question. The only thing men on these boards have in common is that they are men. And men are indeed funny and unpredictable creatures. Personally - I'm a bit of a people watcher and I like browsing the boards, listening to different opinions and angles, and occasionally contributing some of my own. There are many forums out there about many different topics. Some are quiet specialist such as I dunno ..... car forums for example. The E-I forum is more general, more tangible and appeals to a wider spectrum so you get a real melting pot of all sorts.

So my proposal is that if you want to understand why men browse these forums, first understand why we've got people watchers in the world and you'll have figured me out for one. I haven't figured myself out yet so I can help no further.

Simple answer really Heather, the nature of the profession and its customers is secretive, human beings have difficulty not talking about things in their lives, message boards on EI allow the men, customers, and I suspect the ladies, providers, to talk about the industry in a semi open way. It is a release valve for many who are dealing with weird sensations brought on by society's mores. I don't agree with men telling the ladies how to operate etc but then we are not all the same and variety is the spice of life.
