Question Are you a supertitious person? Is there anything you wouldnt do on Good Friday?

I am not a supertitious person but in my family's background I would say this is a big Issue , I remember when I was very young my grand mother would not allow me doing anything at all on good friday as it is considered a day to rest.is a kind of penitence. I Used to get really afraid of the stories they would tell about people who ignored good friday...

Not superstitious, but old enough to remember eating fish EVERY Friday. Also nothin on the TV over Easter except Ben Hur and The Ten Commandments.

Born and raised in Catholic Ireland, I always dreaded Good Friday- the dreary, grey monotony; it was like a dozen wintry Sundays rolled into one bleak day of long-faced, false piety.

As I got older Good Friday became one of the most enjoyable days of the year as my fiends and I would stockpile booze and party like it was 1999 (which, in fact, it was one of the years!).

Nowadays, it hardly registers at all. I don't believe in attaching human virtues or vices to the transcendent so the idea of a vengeful deity bent on punishing those he/she is supposed to love for eating meat or drinking booze on GF trivialises my idea of spirituality to a point where it becomes a childish superstition or a mechanism of mass control. No thanks.
