We're often told by mods or managers that bannings/thread deletions/review deletions/whatever may look dodgy, but that they are justified by something going on behind the scenes that we ordinary mortals can't see. But I've been wondering lately, why is it that those who have been behind the scenes and seen what is going on there keep being banned. Just to remind people, the following people were once community or reviews mods and are now banned: bigbadjohn, ninebythree, westside, quarterpounder and now carlos marvado. Now some of those people should never have been mods in the first place, but this still raises some questions:
- When we're told about what's happening behind the scenes, which version should we believe?
- Why should we trust the judgment of the current crop of mods, when most of the people who did the job previously have quit and/or been banned?
- Who's next?
