Serious question now..... Can one believe in God, but not in religion?

I would like to think so LDM,after all whats religon only mans twisted slant on a higher being,mans goal is about control,power and money,and money is the God of most religons.

They say (whoever THEY are) that because of religion (cause of so many wars throughout our not so long history) that our technology would be a lot more sophisticated if religion had not been around. Not saying that it is not sophisticated now, but maybe Sci-Fi would be reality? If ever it was possible, I would love to glimpse even for a single moment, what the world would be like if religion had never reared its head.
