They'll be burnt off you when God flips the switch and the trapdoor opens beneath you. Because if god in Heaven exists, it's a safe bet the other place does too.

So, if I appear before God on his heavenly throne and he says "Believe in me now?", I'll be like "Yessir! Hallelujah! Praise You!" etc, followed by a swift drop to the knees and some serious worshipping!

You think they're not ready for that? You might as well stick through and say "I did it my way".

Of course you could believe in God and not need to resort to religion. Most organised religions disparage this because it undermines their own position "The horror, people THINKING FOR THEMSELVES!!!!"

Yes I think so but I question why he sent evil people to preach his word but then again he's not human if he exists? But I would like to have a belief but it was beaten out of me men in black dresses

I'll tell ya what Banjaxed, if I was summoned before the throne I'd have some questions to ask before I was judged

Eg. "If you are omnipotent, omnipresent, omniscient and omnibenevolent how can you allow so much evil? How can you pretend I ever had free-will when you knew every circumstance of my existence from conception to death? What created you? Why did the characters in the biblical cannon get to witness you and your works directly but the rest of us have to rely on hearsay and faith? Is Genesis supposed to be interpreted literally? etc. etc....."
