Default Trolling: A whole new level

Just after watching a programme on BBC Three called ‘The Anti-Social Network’ presented by Richard Bacon about trolling and cyberbullying and it really is pretty shocking. He also explains how he too has been a victim of it himself over the past two years.

It brings trolling to a whole new level. People who do this sort of thing really do need to take a really long hard look at themselves in the mirror and reevaluate their lives.

I really recommend watching this as its very interesting and I just thought I’d share, here’s a quick synopsises of the programme:-

“Richard Bacon attempts to track down and confront three cyberbullies, one of whom has targeted him with an obsessive tirade of anonymous online abuse over the previous two years.”

    John...

Much as you might like this to be a watershed.... trolls, by their very nature, would just love it..... they would never change their ways or their minds mate in my opinion..... but I appreciate your sentiment!!!

There are many different types of internet troll and some of them can be defined here:

While trolls are spending their 'valuable' time 'crusading' across the pages of the internet, they tend to forget that they are helping to keep me in a job, so thank you

Sorry lads didn’t know that BBC iPlayer didn’t work outside of the UK.

Out of everything on the programme the most shocking was how trolls go onto FaceBook profiles of children that have died and post appalling messages. Didn’t know until last night but there called ‘RIP sites.’ Family and friends also set-up RIP sites for lost loved ones only for them to be desecrated by these scumbags.

Very good programme guys pit you couldn’t have watched it.

I saw a Channel 4 documentary about a guy called Shane Webber who made his real-life girlfriend's life hell by 'stalking' her on Facebook. Ruth Jeffery's life was turned completely upside-down as this scum-bag sent her threatening, harassing messages via email and her social-networking profile... for MORE THAN 3 YEARS!!!

Here is the Daily Mail story:

This wanker even emailed explicit photos of this girl to her own father! What kind of a sick human being would do such a thing?

Trolls are scum and better to ignore them completely - they feed off getting under your skin so ignore them.
