If guys are going to try and haggle it's best to do it on the phone. If you wait until you arrive to the appointment and try it, the escorts IS going to kick you out and then everybodys time is wasted

Yes, Heather, I agree. That is where I'm coming from, any haggling should be done well in advance of going to see someone. Most people wouldn't haggle on the spot with other professionals so I don't see why they think they should be able to do it on someone's doorstep.

There's always been cheap people around and there always will be. Of course the recession doesn't help things. No doubt people are more financially conscience and definitely query things a lot more but I've never had to deal with a haggler, just explain what's what ("Well, you see we need X, Y, and Z, and they cost Z, Y, and X (even if they don't cost Z, Y, and X at all") and generally they go with it. In some cases you have to include things as a precaution so that you won't look like a fool, but it can be awkward to explain that.
