The laugh we have, the buzz when you're getting ready for an appointment, the nice people we meet, the gifts, I could go on and on but they like to portray it as a seedy, hidden away thing that we should all be ashamed of!!
It was a total waste of time Allannah!!! The recent Primetime documentary was completely one sided, but at least they has done good research which exposed the bad side of the industry.
However, this TV3 tripe, was just that!! Absolute tripe!!! Even the interviews (though admitedly by actors to protect the indentity of those interviewed) appeared sooooo staged! As Saoirse joked (in another thread) - they must have rounded up all the extras of fair city to find the worst knackers to play the part of the punter and the pimp! The punter basically said - that if he weren't seeing escorts, he'd be raping every woman on the street!!!! I trust and hope you've seen a different sort of punter.
So don't bother watching it, unless you want inspiration to make you independent filem! Inspiration - as in angry inspiration!!
