€6570 a year on cigs Julius. That would be a nice pot of money to do other things with it.
Good luck with trying to quit.

The inhalators are supposed to be good. Keeps the hands occupied.

    guys,

As i said earlier i'm off them 8 weeks tomorrow. I say well done to everyone who has quit and to those who want to quit i say good luck to you. It takes strength of mind. I went cold turkey no chewing gum no patch no Champax. Totally cold turkey. Went back Running 3 weeks ago and am now running 10 km runs 3 days a week. and have knocked 3 minutes off my 5km run. I am really happy with my life now. And this is from someone who had a cig in his mouth while in gym gear before training.

Best of luck and health to all

So I don't smoke or drink, I love tea though alot of it, but the thing I find reading this thread is how black and white it is, it's ok if you smoked 30 a day, then two days later you fell off the wagon so to speak, it's what you do thereafter, do you go back to the 30 a day? just think when you have that craving, when you know you would have had a smoke but you didn't, take that as a little victory.

    Alexa,
Jesus there is no easy way, you just have to use will power, chew a lot of gum, and keep very busy , i find walking a big help, just get out into the freash air, 5 minute walk will sort out the craving, if you are only on them a few years stop now girl, you are young and fantastic looking with a full life ahead of you, if you think anything of yourself and want the best for your health, give them up soon,

Well done Ray. Smoking is apparently one of the toughest addictions to beat, probably because of it's social acceptance and the fact that it's ingrained into your daily way of life. And of course the nicotine is physically addictive.

So good luck. And just as your motto says - "One day at a time. Just one day at a time".
"Don't be reckless with other people’s hearts. Don't put up with people who are reckless with yours"
