Gardai probe sex on the beach offer by prostitutes in Donegal

GARDAI have stepped up patrols in a seaside town after an eastern European criminal gang forced prostitutes to offer their services during daylight hours on the local beach.

A number of complaints have been made to gardai in Bundoran, Co Donegal, by men who were offered sex by three women handing out hand-written calling cards.

When the Irish Independent called the number yesterday, a woman said in a foreign accent "we be back on Saturday".

Asked what services were on offer, the woman said: "You call me Friday for sex on beach. No problem. Do whatever you want. My service is €200."

One eye-witness at the beach told the Irish Independent: "They (women) were being followed by three men and it was clear they were their pimps."

Garda Inspector Denis Joyce in Ballyshannon said they were aware of the reports and were investigating the incidents.

Its the in your face thing that gets peoples backs up and makes it harder for the true Independants like yourself Kelly,I think the pending law is playing right in to the pimps and traffickers,they have the organisation to circumvent it while the independants will be the easy pickings along with there clients to appease the masses.

The thing is the Gardai dont prosecute the pimps, they usually only take the girls to court. This is like taking the drug user to court but allowing the drug dealer to go scott free. The correlation of the number of girls prosecuted against the number of pimps prosectued is vastly in the pimps favour.

Agree entirely and your post shows how the law, even as it stands is misdirected. It is easier to get a prosecution against two girls working from the same apartment for brothel keeping, than it is to get a prosecution against a pimp.

kinda funny how a lot of prostitution stories are finding their way to the media right now in both print and media.
its almost like a lobby group is pulling the strings before trying to push through legislation.
i mean come on who the f**k goes to see a girl on the beach in february in broad daylight with pimps walking behind her and pays 200. its sounds like a lot of crap to me.
