Those people were shown on the programme last night. I do not agree with that. I think invasion of privacy, in such a way, is disgusting and inexcusable. 'Pat' has my total sympathy in that regard. But your making remarks based on one word, "like" to draw attention away from this site is just silly, petty and treating folk like idiots. I think this time, pulling up the drawbridges is not going to work. There are things that need addressing and questions that need answers. I don't give a shit who owns the site. The site has to start and be seen to take some responsibility.

Anyway we digress, why can E-I not spot these large agencies when RTE can over a period of four months ? So much so they can even show invoices paid to E-I.

I am fairly certain E-I can recognize if multiple ladies use the same bank account info and could in the future disallow such practices. They could also revise how financial transactions are carried out that would further tighten controls to prevent trafficking.

That seems be an idealised vision. Groups like Ruhama will still be needed because there will still be ladies who are forced into the work, (either by desperation or by other people), and will be looking for help, support and/or a way out.
Do you really think society would change its views on the industry? I don't. We are a long way from being relieved of the image of diseased crack whores.

I agree about registration. I was taken by how little Ruhama talked about the welfare of women and the support that could and should be given to them - suggests they are more interested in moralising than welfare. Maybe I am wrong and some people have experience of genuine support and help for themselves or people they know from the Ruhama organisation.
Of all the ladies spoken to by RTE on the programme they only showed an offer of support to one lady and did not talk about offering support to any others ( apart from the unfortunate victim of trafficking from Africa). Is this all they did? or did they offer support to others and get reactions on film that were not in line with the argument they were broadcasting?

I called the Agency xxx maybe about 6weeks ago for an outcall, i really wanted to see one of there girls. Anyway im super happy i didnt go through with it now.
