This thread is very topical. I belive it should be read by as many members as possible and for that reason alone it should be moved to the General Chat? Just a suggestion

Are those TDs verified as independent or are they pimped?

It's a joke if the government would only look at the bigger picture
1 escorts rent appartments at a premium rate thus money into the econemy
2 escorts buy food and drink in local areas thus good for the econemy
3 escorts provide a release for stressed out men without breaking up family's
4 at a guess an escort will spend up to €1000 per week rent food condoms clothing it's only a guess but an avarage and you multiply that by 1000 that's €1 million per week is what escorts spend in ireland ... Interesting thaught

The Escort Industry & sites like this need to be aware that the proposals to regulate internet sites pose as much of a threat as the "Turn Off" campaign. Without reference or debate the Minister could request that all ISPs block access to sites that feature adverts for prostitution - he could turn off EI at a stroke.
Should either this or the "Turn Off" campaign be successful then more girls will turn to using dating sites. It is simple to register a profile looking for "intimate encounter" & then use a phrase like "seeking generous men"
Getting caught visiting an escort could lead someone to commit suicide
Exactly, didn't one of those guys in Limerick commit suicide who was arrested by the undercover ban gardai? I know for a fact one guy got kicked out of his house and is being divorced. Sucks.. Imagine getting caught like that and your name all over the papers, everyone that knows you knowing such a thing. People you don't get on with knowing about it. Ex girfriends or wives etc all finding out. And when this Ruhama crowd get their way and it is criminalised, the gardai will try to make a few well publicised arrests to again deter people from paying for services. I am done with punting. Worth our names all over the papers? No way

If all the people who are against the criminalising of clients of sex workers stick together then we are a force to be reconed with. Keep protesting to TD's etc by email. Escorts on this site should do the same as it is more difficult for people to dispute their word.
It would be worth exploring things that could be boycotted. Maybe Ikea goods as this store is like a flagship for the Swedish government which started all this nonsense in the first place. If there was a mass boycott of Swedish goods the government there might have to sit up and listen. However it might be hard to organise and could have down sides. But a good thing would be that the identity of boycotters would be hidden.
Does anybody know why things are quiet on the TOTBL site at the moment? Hopefully everything is ok there.
That Prime Time programme on RTE about sex workers was one sided propaganda. It's outrageous the way clients of sex workers were blamed for other people's faults. However in order not to give the other side an inch I think that it would be a good idea if this website really went out of it's way to hunt down exploitation. It would be worth considering restricting the hours that an escort is available for work, watching that her ad is not appearing in different locations after a short interval and also maybe doing more background checks on people who advertise on this site. These are some suggestions.
