    Default Ian Paisley

Breakingews.ie and RTE are reporting that Big Ian was "rushed" to hospital after being taken ill at home yesterday. No word yet on his condition.

At 85, you have to wonder how much is left in the tank.

I don't want to put the man in his grave just yet, but what do you think Ian Paisley's legacy will be, and how will Irish history remember him?

His legacy will be his being a very pure exponent of religious bigotry. He is one of those utterly irredeemibly self-righteous true believers. I couldnt begin to articulate how low is my opinion of such people.

This is to say nothing of the his involvement in The Troubles. I am just talking about sheer, miserable, prejudiced narrow-minded bigotry.

His legacy can be summed up in one word: Excrement.
    Bada Bing!!!

Its funny , old age seemed to mellow.him . Ulster says NO was all I heard growing up .
reminds me of the joke where ian wakes up from a coma and asks his son what happend when he was out

He said dad bad news its now a 32 county republic, the queen has been dethroned and unionists and nationalists have intermarried so there are no unionists left on the island

To which.ian starts crying and begs for the life support to be turned off

    To which his son said

Well there is some good news , rangers won the.old.firm

    Ians.eyes are wide with joy

    Until his son said
    Beat then by 3 , 14 to 1 ,12
