For those of you who do not know the man :

Bear has done some incredible things in his past, he is Ex- SAS and here is a little clipping i have found from a website :

On 26 May 1998, Bear entered record books by becoming the youngest British climber to have successfully climbed Everest and returned alive. He was only 23 years old. Only three years earlier, he had a horrendous parachuting accident while serving the British Special Air Service (21 SAS) in Southern Africa, breaking his back in three places.

You are all going to have your own opinions on wether or not he does stay in a comfortable 5 star hotel when the cameras are off, but thats not the point i'm attempting to make. Regardless, this guy has taught me many usefull things over the last year ( in theory ) and has made me start to plan a little journey of my own with a few friends, I do think this could be one of the best experiences of my life, if it goes to plan. So he may be sleeping all comfortable in bed at night, but has made me want to get out there a bit more and travel and has taught me a few handy tricks for on the way.

Has any been on a mountenering trip or some sort of 'adventure' (if you will)??

What are your thoughts on these sorts of trips?
He is good alright. But celebrity big brother is nearly back, different type of jungle and wildlife. Survival of the fittest. Lol

I wonder if Bear Grylls met a woman in the desert, would he shag her or would he eat her?

    Once a prick - always a prick.

I used to do some fairly hardcore climbing in the 90's and early 2000's,only hills these days . I met Bear a good few times and he is a VERY impressive guy. Very down to earth and VERY knowledgeable about survival and outdoor pursuits. I don't really give a toss if he stays in hotels when filming his shows as I know for a fact that he can do it when it counts.
