Liverpool striker Luis Suarez has been suspended for eight matches and fined £40,000 by the Football Association.

Suarez was found guilty of misconduct after Manchester United defender Patrice Evra accused the Uruguay international of racially abusing him during the Premier League clash at Anfield on October 15.

The Reds forward can appeal against the unprecedented sanction and the suspension will not come into effect until after the outcome of any appeal hearing.

Liverpool have 14 days from the point when they receive the FA's written reasons for their decision to lodge an appeal, with the ban not beginning until this date has passed.

Saw in the paper where Chelsea have spent more on sacking managers in the last 10 yrs than Arsenal have spent buying players. Thats why i hate the game now.

I loved Chelsea of old with Zola flo hasellbank etc now since it was taken over we started wining but were terrible to watch but I still stick by them but no more beautiful game apart from some individual skill from time to time

He mentioned the word negro, apparently a lot, in English and Spanish to Evra, not his ould wan.
His point was that saying this in Spanish, and in Uruguay, is perfectly acceptable.

Not in this part of the world though Luis, delighted he's gotten a nice lengthy ban, if Terry is proven to have said something similar he will get a hammering aswell, he deserves much worse than Suarez
