    Default 20+ punters face court in Limerick

    Must be a clampdown.

    More than 20 people are due in court in Limerick this morning.

    It is in connection with a Garda investigation into those using prostitutes in the city.

    It is understood those facing charges were arrested in recent weeks.

    They are due to appear at Limerick District Court this morning.

    I'll be watching this with interest...

    They can only be arrested for curb crawling, as visiting an escort is not a crime...

    a mate of mine is a guard and is working with the team.thay are targeting girls working in rooms.any more than 1 girl he said they can arrest.and they are going undercover and ringing girls.scary

    If what your saying is in anyway truthful,I dont think its very wise to be posting details of how the operation is being run by the guards if they are targeting girls who are being trafficked

    What he is saying, as far as im aware is true. An escort, working from an apartment with other girls, can be arrested, but a client cannot.

    So therefore theses cases cannot be related to Gardai investigaing escorts... the arrests were for "those using prostitutes"
