I threat managers and mods as posters first, moderators second and I welcome all opinions and if Nicole felt his comments were ridiculous I feel it is here right to say so, if I said something outrageous I too would except negative replies.
Nicole is a lovely lady and I wouldn't chastise her for voicing her opinion, my bigger gripe as always is closing threads, like in this case another one always pops up in it's place so why bother..

While I would agree with you to a certain point Brother Anon, and Nicole is certainly entitled, as is anyone else to believe that Brother SR71's post was ridiculous, there is a difference in you or I making that statement and a member of E-I staff who could be seen to be posting ex cathedra, particularly when the thread happened to be locked after Nicole's comment about SR71's post, thereby forestalling a response from SR71 or anyone else for that matter.........now that's something that you or I could not do; if we have a go at someone or insult them, we can either expect to be censured or endure a rebuttle from the offended party.

I agree Carlos that it was wrong to lock the thread but I don't agree that moderators can't have an opinion even if it is they think someone is a gobshite.
But if they were to call a poster a gobshite I don't agree with the thread being locked so one can't defend themselves, unless they are coming from and indefensible stance that is, then lock the thread before they do themselves more harm and get banned which in fairness, is what happens a lot..

Ahh Lucy, I thought you knew I was always well behaved. I don't curse or swear without the use of asterisks, I never use the C word or discuss money, as I consider it vulgar (I always leave the money in an open unsealed envelope under the pillow). My only vice is a water fetish, as I am in my element spending an hour under the shower with the right lady.....just don't bend down to pick up the soap...........I am easily tempted.
