EI Christmas Pantomime.. The Cast...

Well auditions a re finally over and myself and Anny have finally chosen the cast. Now I know there will be both excitement and disappointment but remember this is show business. We have chosen the cast strictly based on level of performance displayed during auditions and don’t think it was an easy job…

Here is the cast for EI Pantomime 2011… Alice in Punterland…


Alice… Christine
(Alice is the main character of the story "Alice's Adventures in Punterland. She is a 21 year old English girl with lots of imagination and pert breasts, and is fond of showing off her snatch. Alice is a right slut though well raised and interested in others, although she sometimes makes the wrong remarks and upsets the creatures in Punterland. She is easily put off by abruptness and rudeness of others.)

Mad Hatter… Ladiesman
(The Mad Hatter is one of the members of the Mad Tea Party. Later he also appears as a witness during the trial. He occasionally is very rude and provokes Alice during the tea party.)

Red Queen… mrniceguy
(The Red Queen rules over Punterland and is a tyrant - violent, authoritative and dominant. She likes to play croquet with live flamingoes and hedgehogs as mallets and balls)

White Queen… Dave1dave
(she is very chaotic. During the story she suddenly changes into a sheep.
About her, Carroll wrote: "Lastly, the White Queen seemed, to my dreaming fancy, gentle, stupid, fat and pale; helpless as an infant; and with a slow, maundering, bewildered air about her just suggesting imbecility, but never quite passing into it; that would be, I think, fatal to any comic effect she might otherwise produce)

Tweedledee… Lucy Chambers
(fat twin brother of Tweedledum, dressed as a schoolboy. He broke his brother’s rattle and they decide to fight over it.)

Tweedledumb… Saoirsemac
(fat twin brother of Tweedledee, dressed as a schoolboy. With his brother he shows Alice the sleeping Red King and tells her about the Walrus and the Carpenter. The brothers are rather affectionate with one another, but don't hesitate to fight over insignificant matters. They are also cowardly.)


White Rabbit… Karin (Amy Alison)
(The White Rabbit is the first Wonderland character Alice encounters. She follows him when he hurries into his hole and thereby enters Punterland.)

Chesire Cat… Benin
(The Cheshire Cat is the cat of the Duchess. Alice meets it when she leaves the Duchess house, and finds it in a tree. It constantly grins and can disappear and reappear whenever it likes. Sometimes it disappears and leaves its grin behind.)

Blue Catepillar… Ric Hardgear
(T he Caterpillar is sitting on a mushroom while smoking a hookah, when Alice first meets him. Although he is rather strict and not very friendly, and corrects Alice's recitation of a poem, he does help her by advising her to eat from the mushroom if she wants to change her size. In the end, he crawles away.)

Jabberwock… Nynasweet
(the Jabberwock is a scary character from a poem in 'Through the Looking Glass and what Alice found there'. The poem is called 'Jabberwocky' and therefore the Jabberwock is often wrongly referred to as 'the Jabberwocky'. The poem tells the story of a brave man who sets out to slay the Jabberwock, and finally returns home with his head.)

Dormouse… SR71
(another member of the tea party and witness. He constantly falls asleep and is mistreated by the Hare and the Hatter.)

March Hare… n73
(he is holding a tea party with the Hatter and the Dormouse. The party will continue forever, as they live in a frozen time. Later on, the March Hare is a witness during the trial.)

King of Hearts… Westcorklad (you owe me one bud)

Queen of Diamonds… Fiona

King of Diamonds… Morph (you too)

Queen of Spades… Eveforever

King of Clubs… Andy (notatwork… just to make you at home)

Flamingo… Doc (croquet mallet)

Hedgehog… Prickly, (croquet ball..wack twack twack)
(they are used as mallets and balls during the game of croquet.)

Humpty Dumpty… skywalker
(an egg who sits on a very narrow wall. He is very proud, rude, easily-offended and claims to be the master of words. In the end he (presumably) falls off the wall.)

White Knight… Fussy
(he rescues Alice from the Red Knight. He cannot ride his horse properly, likes inventing things and is a little melancholic)

Dinah… Max California (Alice’s cat… enjoy)
(she is Alice’s cat. She isn’t physically there in the book but Alice talks about her many times, especially about the fact that she is good at hunting and killing animals. Therefore she does play an important role.)

Knave of Hearts… Franken..
(he carries the crown and is later accused of stealing tarts.)

Wardrobe mistresses will be Doodles and Anny...

Doodles will be responsibe for dressing and undressing the following characters: Red Queen, White Queen, Mad Hatter, March hare and the Four Kings in the deck of cards... All others please report to Anny for fittings...

Rehearsals start Monday next at 09:00 sharp. Please be on time as there is a lot to get through..

Not only have you driven the leading lady away by not opening the door, but you mixed up the dressing part, you put me down to do Anny's dressing and her down to do mine. FFS get it right or we'll appoint a new director, and you cast Lucy without even confirming availability!!!!! Jeez amateurs!!!!
