Good riddance! Ireland exported people like cattle all over the world for the past two centuries- it's the height of irony that when outsiders come to live in the emerald isle they can face this type of thinly veiled xenophobia. I listened to the radio interview - the job of a councillor is clearly a tough one & this guy while he may be broadly polite, he's just a racist twit- next!
What was it Mary Hanafin said? "this is not a race issue, but it might be a skin colour issue"?
