waterford at night

I'm in Waterford and I have only ever punted during the day here and was wondering what the 'usual area' is like at night. Anyone from Waterford will know the area I'm talking about. I just want to know is it any way dodgy or has anyone had any bother with the 'locals' in the area?

Either of the two areas in Waterford are ok at nite
