Thread: Niche escorts - where are they all?

  1. Default Niche escorts - where are they all?

This particular topic has been on my mind for some time. If you watch pornography at all, you'll know that every imaginable sexual niche and kink is catered for, and not just catered for, but has its own dedicated websites with paid for content.

Men have varied sexual tastes and fetishes, and they are prepared to pay to have them satisfied. The porn industry makes big money off sexual niche areas.

Why then, has the world of escorting failed so badly to cater to these needs? It seems to me that there is real money to be made by ladies here, but they consistently ignore it in favour of vanila sex - just like every other escort in the country. Why be different when you can be one of a crowd? In any other business this would be crazy talk.

There are very few niche areas catered to by escorts: there's the BDSM scene, there's 'mature' women, and there's TS girls. And that's it. 3 specialised niches and every other girl is just another wham bam, thank you mam.

I used to live in the UK, and there was one 'escort' I used to see who never had sex. Basically, all she did was a form of mutual masturbation - no sex, no oral, no kissing. And you had to book about 3 weeks in advance to get to see her. She went out of business 3 or 4 years ago, and no one took her place.

If I went to see any of these 20 year old East European escorts in Dublin and said this was what I wanted, they'd look at me like I was demented. So, one for the ladies, what have you got against making money from anything that is non-vanilla? When did prostitution become so conservative?

Fair enough, Ireland is a small country, and niche areas might not be that lucrative here, but the scene is the very same in the UK.

If you're looking for a particular niche, try requesting it in the client requests forum. For example:

"Looking for an escort that can fire ping-pong balls from her vagina whilst blaring 'Pomp and Circumstance' on a french-horn in the Dublin 1 area. Anyone willing to provide this service?"

    Don't forget the location, fella!!!

But that just doesn't happen. One of the reasons so many of these porn niches exist and flourish now is that people don't have to ask for them - they Google them and find them. If you had to walk into a sex shop and ask for a porn video where a guy jerks off in a room full of woman (example), you could be certain that it wouldn't exist. But because you can find it without asking online, it now exists.

The same really does apply to escorts. If you can find what you want on an escort's website, or see from what she says about herself that she leans in that direction, you'll make the booking and spend the money. But if you have to ask an escort with an ordinary website if she does weird fetish X - well, for most people, that just wouldn't happen.

My point is, porn has flourished to meet all these needs, escorts have not followed suit. And the very fact that the porn exists and flourishes means the market does exist. The only niche areas escorts seem to advertise are the three I mentioned above - and they're so common now they could hardly be called niche.

Example: Half the escorts listed here tick the 'roleplay' checkbox in their profiles, but I've never found an escort on this site who can really do roleplay properly. A plastic nurses uniform from a sex shop does not equal roleplay. This is what I mean by a niche not being met.

the difference is that when you create a website catering to a specific niche market you have an audience of 7 billion people that can search and access it, so you will eventually start making money from it. Where as, if an escort advertises as that in Ireland she has a limited market place to do so and because it's not everyone flavour she might get stigmatized as just offering that service, so in the long run it could cost her money.

If it's porno sex you're after, you should request the PSE (Porn Star Experience). To be honest, I think that there's so much porn out there, it's actually the clients' expectations that have changed, not really the services of an escort. Besides, a lot of niches are no longer available because there are so many sexually transmitted diseases/infections these days, and you can hardly blame an escort for looking after number one.
