Escorting vs. Dating websites

I have just been thinking lately about the key differences between escorting and dating websites. It's posed a couple questions for me...

There are clients that state they want to know as much as feasibly possible about an escort to ensure that she isn't pimped or trafficked, etc. which is fair enough. Other clients want to get to know the 'personal' side of an escort for whatever reason also, and as we've seen from recent events, this can often backfire. To spend quality time with an escort, you can pay anything from an average of 80 euroes for 30 mins to around an average of about 200 euroes.

For me, escorting is really about seeing the person of your dreams, or simply have some companionship, all without complication.

Dating websites are obviously very different. First of all, you can outline your expectations (e.g. one-night stand, swinging, marriage, not sure what you want, etc.) and actually get to know someone on a personal level, know their favourite colour, ask for an email address, MSN them, find out if they want angry sex or a picnic in the park. You can talk to as many people as possible and keep your options open and usually people on a dating website don't have any afflilation with anyone else there, so it reduces the chances of rumours and verbal diarrhea. Membership probably costs about 30 euroes a month which gives you acces to hundreds of profiles, all listed in your region.

What I'm really asking is this...

Do people see escorts because they are guaranteed sex?

If you're looking for something more or have general doubts about the legitimacy of escorts, why not go to a dating agency?

It would be interesting to know everyone's thoughts here.

Haven't been on a dating website. Those on there are probably looking more for friendship.
With escorts I can have sexual experiences with beautiful women with no strings attached. It is nice to have a laugh during an appointment and for that time to be completely looked after. However acquaintances we may be or become but not friends.

I've been on both types of sites. I even hooked up with a married lady looking for a bit of fun through a dating site. And we had a good time.

However, I don't believe you can meet ladies as amazing as so many of the escorts here are. And, as a married man I am already taking a risk by looking for 'companionship' outside of my marriage. By involving another 'amatuer', it really can become very complicated. That's not to say meeting the same escort regularly doesn't bring it's own emotional complications, for that can be the case to.

Dating sites involve getting emotional with another lady, done that, wore the T-shirt and it didn't work out so well. Like wild says, I see escort for their time and companionship and sorry to be crude but also so we leave at the end of our alloted time together with no strings attached..

I have never really used dating sites so can't speak from experience. However, if I used a dating site, it would be in the hope of finding a like-minded attractive girl that I can forge a long term relationship with. Sex would be within the context of a commited relationship (ie. once you've established that you're an item). This may sound strange or hypocritical, but I was never into one-night stands or two week long crash and burn relationships.

I've spent my fair time in the dating scence and have come away empty handed, so have given up on that whole scene for the forseeable future.


By contrast I visit escorts because
1) Yes sex is guaranteed.
2) There are no strings attached. (And i'm not looking for an emotional relationship or I would be on a dating site).
3) The girls are absolutely gorgeous (more gorgeous than anyone I could ever pull in real life).
4) There's no bullshit. I want, she wants. We want different things and yet we have a common agreement in the exchange.
5) It fulfills my need for physical intimacy (i.e. hugging, cuddling, kissing), albeit for a short period.
