There is a self help group on Facebook called Compulsive Face Book Disorder - I suspect the same is happening re EI also....

Here are the symptoms for CFD

DO YOU DISPLAY ANY OF THE FOLLOWING SIGNS?...

-A compulsion to invent your own group?

-A compulsion to check Facebook at least three times a day.

-www.f.. automatically connects you to facebook.

-You invite friends to your house only to forget they are actually there.

-Your msn sign in name is identical to the status of a friend of a friend. (And yes, that was a hint.) OR you have to laugh when a friend signs into msn messenger because you just know you have seen those words just earlier that day.

-The sight of ANY computer makes you shake.

-You try to check Facebook from any available cashpoint.

-An internet telephone box actually looks appealing.

-You make reference to Facebook during everyday conversations.

-You know the ins and outs of not only your friend's every movement, but those of a friend of a friend of a friend.

-You get highly irritated with the anti-social sods who have a private profile.

- You've spoken to someone extensively on facebook but have never actually talked to them in The Real World

-You recognise random people on/in the bus/lecture theatre/shopping centre/police cell.

-You take an "open invitation" quite literally and gatecrash some party because the host happens to be in the same network and you can view every little detail (though you may seriously need to seek help at this point, considering the police cell did not do the trick).
