Great thread.....Horror has always been my favourite genre. Don't like the stuff around these days, too much cgi and teeny vampire stories and all that nonsense. Can't beat the old horror classics, the 70's and 80's in my opinon, were the best decades.
My personal favourites are.....The Texas Chainshaw Massacre, The Shining, An American Werewolf in London, Halloween (the first one), IT....

While we're on the topic, can anyone remember a horror tv series played once a week, think it was a friday night. A horror host dressed up as Dracula would raise up out of a coffin in a graveyard and would introduce the horror movie you were about to watch. It was quite corny and cheaply staged but used to love it as a kid, taking into account I'm now 29, think this was around the late 80's. One episode the horror movie was abot a family trying to escape from a house, all windows and doorways were covered up with brick and in the end you discover they were living in a doll's house.
If anyone can remeber the name of the programme with the dracula horror host it would be very much appreciated. I've searched and googled it and get led to different things. Might ring a bell for someone anyway.....
