When one of the staff make a mistake, people jump on us and I often recieve snidey messages every now and then, but you know what? It's okay to be wrong. A group of escorts recently threatened to post Anon's phone number a few weeks ago, and although Anon wasn't particularly bothered (as it was a punting SIM), we made sure that these escorts were dealt with. Anon and monster_monster are also aware that over the past couple of weeks, we have recieved quite a lot of glamour models going into escorting that don't want their names associated with this business, because their names are trade marked by a complany, or because they don't want the press to know that a famous glamour model is now escorting.

As for transparency, I'm not going to lie to you... people are not entitled to know everything, especially if it ultimately breaches some form of security of a poster. Threads are never deleted because we simply 'can't win' an argument, they are deleted for a reason, and the modding team always ensure that the individuals involved are informed.
Ahh yes, that was actually one of the other threads I had in mind. The escort is question had fully responded to Anon's query and had probably done so to everyone's satisfaction. Unfortunately she had posted a video clip on that thread which revealed her glamour model name, if not her actual real name ( I don't know if both are one and the same), but then I think this video clip may also have been posted on the advertising thread that Anon was querying. I was engaging her in a bit of friendly chat and banter, which probably was'nt doing her exposure here any harm at all, as she is very beautiful looking, when the entire thread also disappeared.

Maybe parts of this could also have been edited, as what had started as a thread which could have been potentially damaging for her had been turned around into a very positive thread for her.

There was some specualtion over some fake pictures that she used previously (and in her advertising threads). After posting the videos, this escort actually PM'd me to tell me to remove them; she wanted to desprately prove who she was. I initailly just removed the videos because they were advertising, and then I received more information. Just for the record, I asked Nicole to get Ad Staff to request another verification picture. As I already told a poster today via PM, this escort probably used fake images initially to avoid detection, especially given what I know now from something Nicole told me, which I am not inclined to discuss, but on this end, we have more evidence to suggest that this is the escort rather than not.

People will make of it what they will, but there are escorts on here that would understand certain things we do in order to protect an escort's identity, but people insist on pushing for more information; if they are not satisfied, they pin it down to something bigger than it really is.

The majority of dramas are made in the minds of people. I always find this clip very fitting in a lot of cases:

My apologies, Sam, I have just re-read the relevant thread which was started, and finished, yesterday,
and sniping was the wrong word. There was one comment that I thought was unneccesary, in tone, maybe.

I don't know the percentages for 'getting it right' for Anon, MM or other members, and I can't understand
why they do what they do. Getting threatened is not a nice thing and I'm sure there is a lot that
goes on behind the scenes that most of us will never know about and, tbh, I dont want to know.

I have enough to deal with in my business life, I come here to relax and arrange appointments with the lovely ladies.

Btw, I never suggested that threads were deleted because a mod cannot win a particular argument.
What I meant was the ability of moderators/management to continue to voice their argument after a thread is locked.

I know moderating is a thankless task as you cannot please everyone - Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

As for transparency, I don't want to know everything, but a simple explanation can go along way to keeping
    the rumours/guessing under control.

    You're alright Forrest

I'm also sorry I took what you said out of context too

It would be unfair to say that modding is a thankless task though... there are plenty of people that have thanked me and the mods for our help when help is indeed needed. I think it's really more a case of the negatives far outweighing the positives here.

I love this job, more than it being a means of keeping a roof over my head; like many people here, I love helping people but I just happen to be paid for it. Me, Nicole and the mods all work beyond the pay aspect. We just enjoy being a part of the Community too you know!

they (including me) do it as a public service, fuck I don't even live in IRL anymore & I get a kick out of it... but I now accept that it needs to be confined to the 'reporting fakes' section

Actually, it was more an assumption, given the variety of IP's involved

The good old days are rarely as good as people remember, but I think Carlos is right that modding was, on the whole, better back in the day. Maybe it's a thankless job, but the truth is that most jobs are thankless.

“I wish you wouldn’t keep appearing and vanishing so suddenly; you make one quite giddy!”
“All right,” said the Cat; and this time it vanished quite slowly, beginning with the end of the tail, and ending with the grin, which remained some time after the rest of it had gone.

I disagree modding is much the same. I can say for sure as I'm part of the new and old modding ream. I can tell you all that the mods now work as hard as the old mods. They inform the original poster why their posts were deleted etc. They are just as professional as before. They work long hours beyond the call of duty like before.

The original mods also got slated regularly for deleted, locked threads. I think it was even worse then as there was an awful lot of trolling trying to disrupt modding. There was certain few mods who were targeted regularly by trolls. There were regular shit storms. People are looking through rose tinted glasses saying it was better then. It's just as professional as it is now as it was back then.

All those threads in the last day or two were deleted for good reasons. Sometimes someone posts something about an escort how sympathetic he is about what happened her or someone posts a warning thread but leads to revealing information about her. Surely an escorts safety and anonymity is more important than carrying on a discussion. The escorts have to come first. People complain about things getting deleted. Carlos you must remember that mods see things faster than most members. Things are quickly deleted. The members will say what happened here not realising something that shouldn't have been posted was deleted. In those threads the posters were notified of the reasons and understood why when pointed out.

It could happen to any of us.

if I recall there was as much sniping at the mods back then than there is now. the mods that are in place now are just as good if not better than most of the old ones. Very funny the way the past looks better now. People must have short memories
