Thread: Prostate Cancer

  1. #1

    Default Prostate Cancer

Sorry to put a bit of a downer on this Sunday morning, but have just had my prostate removed and thankfully got the all clear but was wondering if any of my fellow punters have been through this, all went really well and am feeling great, so good in fact that I am starting to wonder about resuming my punting career, was just wondering how long it takes to get everything back in working "order", I believe that I will have "dry orgasms", is that true and is the pleasure in anyway diminished.
Also want to advise all you 50 something guys the importance of having annual blood tests as early detection is VITAL.
Would be interested in hearing from any guys who have been through this, you can pm me if you like ....cheers

It's a good thing to have a full set of blood tests annually at least, whatever age are.

Glad you're on the mend. Best of luck to you.

Really pleased to hear you got the all clear Luigi.

And much respect to you for raising this topic. It's not an easy thing to talk about, but it is really important that men are aware.

I don't consider this a 'downer' thread at all. You looked out for your health, and thankfully you are now well.

What is very sad is when men leave it too late and ignore health problems like this, through embarrassment etc.

Sadly I think all of us here probably have some sad experience of the horrid Cancer. Well done for being brave enough to go through all this and come out the other side. You are an inspiration.

Thank you for your words, it is such a simple thing to have blood tests taken every year and can save you so much grief, it really is an no brainer, however you do feel isolated and is great to be able to discuss it openly here. Would be interested to hear from some of the girls, what do they feel about a guy having a dry orgasm, is it a bit strange from their point of view?
