Why don't some people reply to their pm's?

This is not directed to anyone in particular, just something I've noticed.

You send a pm to someone (fellow punter, escort) with a question or something like that, and you wait a couple of days, but still no reply.

You check the profile, maybe they haven't logged in or something? Yet there you see that the person logged in half an hour ago... Doesn't that upset you in some way?

And also, how does the pm receipt in this pm system work? Does the recipient need to manually confirm or does that happen automatically?

Well if ya pm somebody and they dont reply but have been online id take a hint that they dont wana know ya, or they are very busy person whos inbox is probs in overload
I think the pm receipt is automatic,,once the person opens your message then you get a receipt automatically..

Meh what's the use of a message receipt if the person can just click 'no, i haven't read your message'... I would mainly use it to see whether people actually read them, then I can draw my own conclusions if they decide not to reply

I didn't know there was a 'read receipt' facility on the pm's.
