Default What was your first mobile phone ?

Just thinking how vital a piece of equipment the mobile phone has become.

Got me thinking back to my first one.
It was a Sony Ericsson Kit Kat I think the network was 088 at the time.
It was pretty small for the time, late 80s.

the first cell phone I ever used was more than twenty years ago in florida.. I was parting at some heavies and they had a phone that came in a brief case.. they had it hooked up to a car battery and we could call anywhere in the world free... problem was no one could call us back.... untraceable and free

Certainly remember those ones, but I never bothered getting one until they became small enough to fit in yer pocket.

I think that's the same one I had. I got it via the car insurance company and kept it in the glove compartment for emergencies.
Retired from punting, yet still here?
