Default Areas you would mind going into for an appointment

This is a question for people who do regularly punt and those who are seeing me on occasion or on regular basis.
I would like to move from Temple Bar/Dame st. but areas like D4 or D2 seem bit too expensive for me. I would hardly chose D7 myself. But what about Dorset st. Upper for instance. Would you go there? Or Foley st/Connoly station area? Or any other affordable suggestions near City Centre? I guess I want to stay in CC as Im used here and business isnt bad.
There seem to be nice apartments as far as the canal on lower Dorset st or Summerhill(far east end of Parnell st.) but that seems way to far and middle of no where to me so dont think it would be a busy spot for an escort.
    Thanks.

D7 is not so bad! There are some lovely little areas and it's super close to the city centre, AND i think nicer than the Dorset street area. Good luck wherever you go anyway x

Anna, no punter is going to go wandering up Summerhill on a dark evening and there is nowhere appetising to park around there either. There are decent appartments at the corner of Francis St. and Thomas Street (Weaver Court???) or you could try apartments near Black Hall Place and the quays in D7 (plenty of on street parking)

Me personally I worked around the inner city for so long that I know every nook and cranny going so I don't mind where a girl works (I find the more "deprived" areas the best, I feel way less conspicuous but I realise that might not be to everyones taste)
    Bada Bing!!!

I would'nt quite agree with Lincoln about the "deprived" areas............I'd stick out like a sore thumb in my suit and tie. I would recommend the IFSC area, Temple Bar, Christchurch or even Smithfield areas if you are talking longer term........though the noise in Temple Bar might be a bit much.

I've seen ladies on Railway street which isn't far from Foley St but only during daytime, might be dodgy at night and the dark winter evenings.
Nice apartments on Ossory road but maybe a bit out of the cntre for you.
Lots of places on High Street just around the corner from Christchurch but have yet to be in a really nice one..

Think of it this way - in those areas you are, in my opinion, likely to get more clients. Ok there is a trade off in terms of higher rent but on balance you may well do better. I for one would not venture near any of the areas mentioned so far (yeah, I know call me a snob lol!).

Apartments are grand but not exactly the most inviting stroll down there on a dark evening...

Plenty nice places around the Coombe (Ardee St. end)

My favourite areas are IFSC/Spencer Dock in D1 and Docklands in D2. I feel those areas are relatively safe, with parking available and busy enough to allow me to blend in. I appreciate the point about higher rents. But they are probably higher for all the above reasons.

I'm not keen on Dorset street or Summerhill. A lady's location does actually influence my decision on whether or not to see her (when I'm contemplating seeing someone new).

This does not apply to ladies that I revisit. I will continue to see a lady the I revisit even if she moves and even if it's in an area that I don't like.

Parnell street is not a great place at night, I don't feel parking is particularly safe and Dorset st area would have the same issue for me personally. As others have said D2 is probably my favourite location as parking is easy and you blend in better. I have been to a few places in Dublin 1, around Connolly station, not bad but awkward in terms of parking etc. And I have yet to venture there after dark. Dublin 7 has better parking and some nice areas too, indeed I would even consider moving there myself.

I was punting in Dublin last year and at first I would go all over the city but quickly realised that I would have better punts if I stuck to a few areas. Central is best. South of the river, I would prefer D2 Docklands, Barrow St or Ringsend Road. As you note, the prices are higher there but I am sure that you would get more business. Personally, I do not like Temple Bar as it is too busy and it is not so easy for a punter to find a quiet spot for that last phone call.

North of the river, I would say look for as close to Talbot St as possible but avoid those dreadful flats on Lower Gardiner st. Best of all would be the complex just behind the station. Beautiful site and I always felt safe and discrete there.

As a punter, I would avoid Dorset Street because some of the flats round there are dreadful and how do I know which one a lady is in?

Think like a punter, if I see D1, D2 or D4 on a profile, I can ring a lady and then ask about making a booking and usually then I would just say something like "can you let me know roughly what part of D2 you are in please?" If I then hear "Docklands near the Ferryman," I know exactly what the area will be like, I will feel safe and there will be plenty of places to make that last phone call. I am then much more likely to turn my enquiry into a confirmed booking than if I hear a place that I like less.

Also, time marches on, the winter will come soon enough and if you will be around then, don't forget that with the tiniest amount of snow, Dublin comes to a halt. Last winter, I had two punts in the bad weather and the only way to get across town was on foot and even then it was so slippery that I was scared of falling over. For each of those two punts, I had to walk for over 45 minutes to get there. I got there on time for them both. The first punt was nothing special partly of course because I was under the effects of the icy trudge. The second was a no show as the escort didn't answer the phone leaving me with a fruitless one and a half hour trudge there and back. At that point, I resolved that it would only ever be central for me.
