CIM does put you at increased risk if catching an STI like Chlamydia, syphilis or herpes.
It is very very unlikely that you would contract HIV this way.
For myself I feel much happier with a covered BJ as this lowers the risks but doesn't completely eliminate them.
I am also more likely to want to visit an escort who doesn't offer CIM but that's my personal preference.
I get tested regularly more for piece of mind than expecting to have something.
