After numerous calls and no answer/call back I am left assuming business is booming and you have to book 2 weeks ahead! What recession ?!

I'll be honest Stephanie, I don't think that is a good idea for ladies to do that. Fair enough if it is within a very short time-frame but any longer than 30 mins I think is risky. As you probably know a lot of guys don't use separate phones so getting strange 1 ring calls or even a short no descriptive text can raise suspicions of a weary partner. I have read 1 too many threads of guys geting caught out because a lady sent them an unsolicited txt out of hours..

What anon361 just said!
If you get back sharpish then fair enough but if it's going to be a considerable time later then it's not a great idea. Some of us have to strategically pick and choose our moments to nip out for a phonecall to arrange meeting up. Phonecalls are likely to cause more strife than texts IMO!
That said I don't think a text back with something innocuous like 'were you trying to ring me?' is too harmful. I don't save any ladies numbers in my phone so I could always fob it off as a wrong number if someone I don't want to see it manages to lay eyes on it!
