Alec liked to be controversial, in his way but, at times, he had his moments, and I don't think he always
got a fair crack of the whip. Some of his posts were a bit ott, but I didn't find them offensive, while
others did, and reported them.

his posts were intended for an adult audience who can see wit and sarcasm when presented. Too many people took what he said seriously, if you read it as being a bit tongue in cheek then you were fine.

Well, some people think that directly insulting someone publicly is funny, and whether it was intended as a joke or not doesn't really have any relevance. Some of the people that would have thought this was 'funny' would also complain when somebody would say something similar about them, but never mind.

He's lucky it's a month, and to be honest, it will be made permanent next time or if he continues to troll whilst banned. But then again, "He's Alec, he's funny and 'tongue in cheek', so he should be allowed to get away with it."

The rules are there for everyone I'm afraid. It makes no odds to me whether he's banned or not, just as long as he behaves himself.
