Money would be better spent warning expectant mothers on the dangers of smoking . The amount of almost full termers puffing outside the maternity is criminal
I think they will ban smoking in cars with children in it, wont go any further than that.

Definitely a step too far. It's peoples' own business what they do in their own privacy. End of. Granted they're trying to reduce smoke exposure to children but you cannot tell people what they can and can't do [legal things obviously] in their own car or house for that matter! For people with families, this is probably a good idea. But that's an awful lot of filtering to go through: people who smoke or not; then for those that do, do they have children or not. Seems like a lot of work and to be honest sounds costly.

Even if I wasn't a smoker, I would be most concerned that government would even think about telling me where I can't smoke eespecially if it's my car or house; if the government dictated this, what else will it dictate.
