    S = v - w(e+c)

    Where:

    s = resultant speed of Sr71
    v = velocity of train.
    w = mean walking speed
    c = Ciara

    And

    e = eagerness to see Ciara.

    and what about the speed of the earth rotating on own axis? ......not to mention the fact that we are also orbiting around the sun and our solar system orbiting our galaxy and expansion of the universe and all the speed thus entailed

    whats your initial reference point baby ?

    I'll field this one. Since we are in the Earths gravity field and as such the earths orbital velocity is imperceptible in this case then we can consider the earth to be stationary for the purpose of the train scenario. This then is our reference point.l
