IT's true though, the truth is not always best for everyone but generally it leads to healing.
In South Africa, post apartheid, the truth and reconciliation commission was set up to help heal old wounds. Although for some it simply brought back memories of abuses they'd rather forget, for most it gave them an opportunity to confront what happened, confront those that did it to them and move on.
Many other countries have since picked up this way of dealing with human rights issues.
