I have been aware of the password since my first mobile phone. It is mentioned in the manual with every phone too.

Yes and no. Nobody "deserves" to be hacked, buuuuut if you dont read the manual, bother to figure this stuff out (its not difficult), then you will have nobody to blame. It is a difficult issue to say the least. On the one hand I think "Idiots, should have changed their password", but then I also think "What was gained from listening to voice messages?"

If you forget to switch on your car alarm at night , do you deserve to have it taken ? No but you can prevent it by switching on the alarm.

If I leave my door open, do I deserve to be robbed while I am away?

No u don't Ray. Blaming the victim for anything is a dangerous path to go down whatever the situation may be.

My point is that its about prevention . People dont deserve to have their phones hacked but there is a small measure that can prevent it to a certain degree and Im sorry but if you do not change your password then you are an idiot

I would love to agree with you man. I wish we lived in an ideal world without phone hackers or thieves, but we dont and precautions must be taken.
