Absolutely wrong !

Don't mean to cut across,but what Anita said is true,now its Irish citizens first,then EU citizens then non EU citizens. Employer are not willing to stick their necks out for non EU citizens, unless all resources are exhausted(good example now is a shortage in the IT sector). Do you know how much a work permit costs for a non EU citizen?

They're not going to hire foreigners no matter what they tell you; us to be employers were to hire Irish people ,first

kinda disagree with that go into any shop u dnt see irish anymore,
building sites again not alot irish
if anything the recession might have made it equal footing on the lower paid jobs marketing for irish and forgeiner as forgein workers have dominated certin sectors for years,
for example tourism, i grew up in the industry and my family are still in and alot of tourist will say they dnt get the irish welcome coz its again a sector dominated by forgein nationals

i hope no one is offended by my comment, its not meant to be begruding of jobs going to forgein nationals merely an observation

Was in a fast food chain then other day and all were Irish working there.
