Thanks Van Patten. Excellent summary (in your original post). I've learned more from your summary than listening to snippets of news regarding the case.

Mind you I'm sure many of us will be guilty of some if not more of the above so called unsavoury background! For starters I'm an escort client! Wow betide me should I ever be falsely accused of such a crime and my escorting activites be made known - given the prejudices people (jurers) have.

I've personally have no opinion on whether Amanda is guilty of not. But the results of her appeal will be out in the next hour.

To be honest I'm not as sure of her guilt as I once was.

Interesting verdict. It appears the strength of the appeal to overturn the original verdict lay with police and forensic team errors.

I wonder how much the media attention (particularly from the U.S.) critisizing the Italian judicial system had to do with the jurys and judges decision?

The same prosecutor made serious errors in the investigations of the Florentine murders a few years back , several people went to prison based on false testimony and falsification of evidence , the true murderers moved away from the Florentine hills ..I always knew Amanda would have her day in court , i just feared that italian justice would suffice

Fair point there Morph, be easy to make a load of non sequiter allegations based on the conduct of your private life and public perceptions being what they are a lot of it would tend to stick.

I must read a bit more about this case. I don't know much, I thought the prevailing notion was that Amanda Knox girl was rail roaded when initially charged??
